I decided to refocus my efforts on going back and completing what I started, so this video is right on time as confirmation that I'm making the right decision. 😊🎉 love this!! The one that bothers me the most is others asking for ..svg’s. Or in a help group asking for someone to remove a background from a jpg. Annoying. ❤

All the knitters and crocheters cringing at #10, lol. WIPs and UFOs for knitters/crocheters are legendary. Cross-stitchers too. To be fair, when it can take a very long time to make something, you often have to put it aside for awhile, just to get away from it to recover love for the project.

As a seller of digital files for sublimation I completely agree with people asking for SVG files or any files for that matter. The creator took time to make it! I pay for all artwork and backgrounds that I use to create my designs. It is very unfair for one person to pay for my file and then share it in a group with 1000's of members. A lot of times it gets shared so many times that the quality of the shared file is crap and can ultimately give the original creator a bad rap for offering bad files if people assume the quality of shared file is what the original is. Can you get okay results? Maybe, but if you are selling things, you truly should want to off the best results. I completely agree with Delonda if you note everything that goes into creating an item you will finish it and also if you do decide to sell items you are less likely to undercharge when pricing your items.

Hello Delonda. I’ve had my Cricuts for years and have only made one thing. I’ve watch creators explode the possibilities of things to make,possibly sell. I appreciate this video. I do other crafts and sew and most people that want to get started, want the “ cut to the chase” shortcuts. I’ve considered cranking up my machines and jumping in the pool too. I would pay for classes and do my homework before I’d ask anyone to just hand over what’s in their brain. I feel you’re just putting your feelings out there on the topic and they are valid. Any new job or skill has it’s learning curve. Not everything or everyone should be entitled to a “shortcut” When you learn the skill for yourself and become proficient, your confidence builds too. That’s the win! Thank you for being polite with your delivery. I will for sure do my homework, unpack my machines and get to playing. Who knows, I just might come up with something I feel comfortable selling. Not just a knockoff of someone else’s designs. 0:26

Could you please tell me the correct photo paper you use obviously it's adhesive, but I haven't been able to find it to purchase. Is it similar to sticker paper or is it printable vinyl you use? Great advice and I agree with you on all but one and that’s number 9 about the font! That doesn’t mean the design will be the same, just because you like the font style! But it definitely grinds my gears when beginners ask tons of questions; that wouldn’t have to be asked if they did their research first! Then they are super frustrated. I am the type to research beforehand and so happy I do that. Because of that it’s certain crafts I not gonna even offer.

I purchased the very first cricut in like 2005 and have been cricutting ever since so let me tell you... every point you made needed to be said! Can I add a number 11? Some content creators must make new crafters feel like they need EVERY tool that is out there. You don't need a special weeding container in order to use your cricut. 99% of projects can be made using a green mat just fine. In fact... cricut used to make only a green mat.

I fell like this is advice that would go to people personally.

I just renewed twice..accidently...happy mistake..lol But note, I hit the renew button, and it did it automatically without taking me to a secondary page. Hence, the reason I renewed twice.

Great video Delonda! I agree with what you are saying...I am definitely known for starting and stopping 🙂 (but I have gotten much much better). I hope people understand that you are not telling them to stop looking at videos and asking questions...because that is research...but it does depend on what you are asking. I always appreciate your videos. Take care.
